I’ve been in the classroom since the 1990s. 

 

In the public schools, I have taught the sweetest elementary-schoolers, and, in a private school, the most-troubled teenagers.

 

Eleven years as an English teacher to teens whose stories are impossibly-heartbreaking have afforded me the opportunity to discover and implement methods that work in even the most distressing classroom crucible.
